COMPUTER SERVICES DIVISION
Under former Department of Legislative Reference, Division functions were dispersed to Office of Legislative Information Systems and Office of Executive Director in 1997.

CORRECTIONAL SERVICES ARTICLE REVIEW COMMITTEE

Appointed by Code Revision Committee: John F. Breads, Jr.; Cathy Brice Hirsch, Esq.; Frances E. Kessler, Esq.; Richard B. Rosenblatt, Esq.

The Committee's work was completed when the General Assembly enacted the Correctional Services Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland in 1999 (Chapter 54, Acts of 1999).

Abolished in 1997 (Chapters 635 & 636, Acts of 1997). Its functions were assumed by Department of Legislative Services.

Abolished in 1997 (Chapters 635 & 636, Acts of 1997). Its functions were assumed by Department of Legislative Services.

FISCAL COMMITTEE STAFFING
Under Office of Policy Analysis, consolidated with Nonfiscal Committee Staffing in Sept. 2000 to form a single unit called Committee Staffing.

Under Office of Policy Analysis, renamed Fiscal Notes in 1997.

INSURANCE ARTICLE REVIEW COMMITTEE

Under former Department of Legislative Reference, the Committee's work ended when the General Assembly adopted the final portion of the Insurance Article of the Annoted Code of Maryland in 1997 (Chapter 35, Acts of 1997).

Under Office of Policy Analysis, renamed Legislation and Committee Support in Jan. 1999.

Under Office of Policy Analysis, renamed Legal Matters in 1997.

LEGAL SUPPORT & STATUTORY REVISION

LEGISLATIVE ACCOUNTING OFFICE
Formerly under Department of Fiscal Services, in 1997, Office functions were made part of Finance and Administrative Services in Department of Legislative Services.

LEGISLATIVE BILL ROOM
Formerly under Department of Fiscal Services, in 1997, the Bill Room became a component of Distribution Services under Finance and Administrative Services within Department of Legislative Services.

LEGISLATIVE DIVISION
Formerly under Department of Legislative Reference, Division functions were assumed in 1997 by the Office of Policy Analysis in Department of Legislative Services.

LEGISLATIVE DRAFTING
Under Policy Analysis, renamed Legislative and Amendment Drafting in 1997.

LEGISLATIVE & AMENDMENT DRAFTING
Formerly under Legal Matters, renamed Amendments and Regulatory Review in Jan. 1999.

NONFISCAL COMMITTEE STAFFING
Under Office of Policy Analysis, consolidated with Fiscal Committee Staffing to form a single unit called Committee Staffing in Sept. 2000.

OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE DATA PROCESSING
The Office was abolished in 1997 (Chapters 635 & 636, Acts of 1997). Its functions were assumed by Office of Legislative Information Systems, Department of Legislative Services.

OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE SERVICES & SUPPLIES
Formerly under Department of Fiscal Services, Office functions became part of Finance and Administrative Services in 1997 under Department of Legislative Services.

OFFICE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Formerly under Department of Fiscal Services, in 1997, the Office was reorganized as a team under Finance and Administrative Services within Department of Legislative Services.

PAYROLL, ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE, & REPORTING
Under Finance and Administrative Services, abolished in Jan. 2002. Functions transferred to Fiscal Operations.

PERSONNEL OFFICE
Renamed Human Resources in July 1999.

PUBLIC UTILITY COMPANIES ARTICLE REVIEW COMMITTEE
Paul E. Alpert, Chair

The Committee's work was completed when the General Assembly enacted the Public Utility Companies Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland in 1998 (Chapter 8, Acts of 1998).
