MARYLAND RADIOLOGIC FACILITY
At Middle River, the Facility (a laboratory for instrument calibration) closed on Oct. 1, 1997.

MARYLAND TERRORISM FORUM
Donald M. (Doc) Lumpkins, State Domestic Preparedness Officer

To coordinate defense against a terrorist attack, the Governor created the Maryland Terrorism Forum in 1998. Members of the Forum represented those federal, State and local agencies responsible for preparing, responding and recovering from terrorist attack. The Forum worked through committees to develop policies and manage efforts to improve defense. The Forum was disbanded in December 2003, and its functions assumed by the Emergency Management Advisory Council.

OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY
Within the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, the Office of Technology formed in September 2002. The Office was responsible for two units: Communications, and Information Technology.

OPERATIONS DIVISION
Under Maryland Emergency Management Agency, renamed Readiness Division in Sept. 2002.
