DEFUNCT UNITS
BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ADVISORY BOARD
Composed of representatives from the legislative bodies of each county, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council Advisory Board last met around 1998. The six-member Board had met once a year to provide a legislative perspective on budget issues, programs, and policy.
Renamed MetroResearch.
In Feb. 2003, functions reassigned to Transportation Division and Executive Division.
William K. Hellmann, Chair
Formed in June 2000, the Transportation Opportunities Committee identified short-term regional transportation priorities. The Committee prioritized projects, including improvements to roads, transit, and regional transportation assets, such as the Port of Baltimore and BWI Airport. By doing so, the Committee enabled government officials to plan how best to secure support for funding those priorities from the General Assembly. In November 2000, the Committee submitted its report.
